I have also been receiving lot of requests for the Bypassing or people asking for rom unlock code......I am also working on it and if there is a solution i will soon upload it.

ReplyDeleteIf you are sure that romunlock code is same as you put in previous ally you need a different one...For these devices imate generated a no of romunlock code so if one does,t work they generate another....However the knowledge and tools for doing it lies with imate....
Either you have to wait or try to pressurize your dealer or imate support if you can hold of them

HI Ultimate 9502 is a QUAD BAND device...It should work everywhere....Please check that sim works in other GSM devices...If it does on device....go to start>settings>system>phone>network....

If still it is not helping...Hard reset your device..the steps are given in my blog...

But i am not convinced whether they are in right direction...The cooking and extracting .MBN file is entirely different as it is for various Kaiser devices and has not been done before(atleast to my knowledge)..I also checked the comment of Anryl and i fully agree with you...But with full respect to effort of you guys i am not at this point of time give substantial time in this direction..I need a week time to come out with something fruitful.....At this point i can only say if you guys are working do check as sony ericson devices work on similar format..Check if those guys have devised any ways.....Thanks and cheers
Hi Support iMate, per my post above about a weird touchscreen issue -
ReplyDeleteLet's say the phone's been off for a few hours. I turn it on, all groovy, for about a half hour. Then, for example, press the 'Start' menu button, and it will disappear like someone pressed it again. Press any button like the comms button, it will go back to the Today screen.
Open up the keyboard and switch to landscape mode, and the Start will go on and off, on and off, like someone is constantly pressing the Start button. Try make a phone call, it goes back to the Today screen. It can't do anything except show the Today screen.
Occasionally when I'm in the office, if I leave it alone, it will start working again but it's temperamental at best.

ReplyDeleteI need to know the current version running in your device..Please go to start>settings>system/personal>device information...
The rom version and radio version is mentioned over there....PLease let me know that and also before upgradation to windows 6.1 Was device recognizing your sim?
When the issue occurred, I originally did a hard reset - the problem continued. I then tried 2 other ROMs - same issue, and I also tried Windows Mobile v6.1, and v6.5. The same issue exists on all of them. Back to my original ROM. No reason to change.
ReplyDeleteUsing different ROM's is difficult because I have to turn the device off for a few hours after installing so I can tap the screen and get past the screen configuration if that makes sense!

ReplyDeleteEven if rom upgradation hasn,t help i will rather advise you to get in touch with a technician...It seems following issue to me.
1)The keypad connectors are loose
2)Touch screen is damaged
3)The connectors connecting the touch screen and keypad are loose.This seems to the more of a reason to me
i dont know what original rom's version is . i just updated to WM6.1 WWE rom , then my phone got trouble . it cant start and got stuck at boot screen . i tried to flash several times . then i got WWE_RC080850 WM6.0 from www.ultimate.biz . now my device cant recognize my sim card (all telco simcard ).

ReplyDeleteThe windows 6 you have seems to be official rom....Well what i am thinking is in different lines..i could be wrong but no harm in trying though......
I did bit of reserach for you and found that Telec Your service provider is not a GSM service provider but a CDMA and WCDMA/UMTS provider....This could be a reason as device is not able to pick any WCDMA network.....I asked you to did manual search...Was it able to find any network.....????
ALso do one thing in settings>phone>.....there is a tab which gives an check box for 3G network or WCDMA/HSPA or UMTS ..Check the box............This could be under advance tab...Also mate under settings>phone there should be a tab to select bandwidth ....Select 2100MHZ and then do manual search............
I am sorry i am not able to give correct steps as i have only used 8150 once and long time back....I would be very happy if this solves your problem...Please let me know
when i tried to find combination key to turn my phone to EM mode , i found SS mode by combine Call button and reset hole , with microSD inside there was a report Simlock USB . i think that may the reason why my phone didnt support simcard . i dont know how to fix .

ReplyDeleteif you want to uprom without ActiveSync , plz follow my steps .
1.On PC , runs ROM Update Utility Wizard , click i have undertood... , Next , i have understood... , Next ,Yes .
2. On you device , hold right soft key (- imate -) and stick in reset hole , will bring your device to EM mode .
3. now you can connect device with PC and fill in rom lockcode and wait till finish .
only works with i-mate 8150

i followed exactly your steps but my device didn't respond . sometimes there is a report that " we're sorry .... " about a problem with device.exe . i can't change phone settings . i tried to flash your rom several times by SS mode and EM mode . nothing change . i also tested my device with ARABIC_080850 and WWE_080850 and a chinese cooked rom 6.1 . result is the same . my device reports unknown sim status or invalid simcard . seem hopeless to recover my phone ...

to be honest, i tried to use fring and skype on the the original rom, and i get a high pitch recurring tone and distorted voice with both apps. I am thinking that an upgrade might solve this, but problem is i lost my box.

Mate i don,t have spanish rom for ultimate device and am not sure whether imate ever released it.However if any rom is cooked for these devices we then will also be able to make spanish rom but nothing substantial is comming from anyone in cooking windows rom for ultimate devices

Also Imate provides ROM lock code on the box itself...upgrade only if you have that or you are genius enough to crack it...........
